Words...

Faith

If I told you now
To close your eyes.
With your life to give your trust.
Would you extend your wrist,
Kiss my hand,
As I bleed you to your death?
Would your heart race circles
Around your lungs?
Would you peek at what's in my hand?
Would you break a sweat,
And start questioning
What true motives do I have?
Could you sit there,
Ever faithful,
As the coolness circles your skin?
Smile without fear,
And patiently await my words,
To see all that I've just done?
When I whisper I love you
You shutter and blink.
On your arm is a bow of red ribbon.
What did you think
I would do to you?
And which was your real reaction?
